sound to sound delay

Hi.. I have Home Studio 2.and I can't synchronize the second take of the track. I was playing some duets and the second part doesn't match the first one (using sound to sound setting) There is a delay on the sound. Where two notes suppose to sound together they sound separately. How I can fix these problem.

We need information. Pc specs, sound card and its settigns. If your using an onboard sound card, then you really cant do anythnig, but replace it with an audio sound card. These have good clocking mechanisms, unlike onboard sound chips
with a decent audio card, you wont have any problems like this

Check your manual about "latency". You should get your latency under 10 milliseconds (if you're not picky, 15 ms might do) to satisfactory timing. May as well depend on the driver type you use. Integrated sound chips don't usually support ASIO-drivers, which are very recommended, but free ASIO4ALL might do.

factory sound cards will do this... they simply can not handle the processing in real time that is required.

You might be able to get it to work on two or three tracks by fiddling with the settings, but in the end...the real solution is to upgrade to a better external interface (soundcard).
