    Hi Plamen,
I know that this post is pretty old; however, I am trying to resolve the same exact issue for over a year.
From what I've learned, Sonar does not support two-byte text characters (e.g. Cyrillic).
Where you able to find a "bandaid" fix? I would appreciate if you could share your experience with me.
    Thanks!

    Hi hexhw1,
I am using two fonts for writing lyrics in Cyrillic:
    Arial Cyrillic and TmsCyr
I hope you are able to find both.
If not please sent me email to ptrvplam@yahoo.co.uk
and I will attach fonts for you.
    Regards,
    Plamen

    Plamen,

Sorry to bother you, but you are the only person that may know the answer.
I do have Arial and tnsNote Cyrillic fonts installed, but the problem remains the same: I can enter Cyrillic text in Lyrics or I can open midi files (old libraries, created with unknown software) with Cyrillic text info, BUT, when I save the project and re-open it all Cyrillic text becomes scrambled.
From what I've learned, Sonar saves text info (Event List, Lyrics, etc.) as a single byte type, while Cyrillic is a double-byte text by its nature.
If you know how to save Cyrillic text in Sonar, please let me know how you do that.

    Thank you,
    Sergey
