Alternative to 700V controller?

While I would buy the controller instantly if sold separately, I must find a controller. Can anyone make a good suggestion for a controller that would work well with Sonar 8?

Thank you in advance

What type of work do you do? What will the surface be used to control mainly?

You can look at Mixed Logic, Mackie, Euphonix...they all have controllers that will work well with SONAR. Now the VS700c though does add an element of deep sophisticated control, but that's why I say it depends on what your expectations are.
