ha i like the pickup sticks analogy I was a Cubase user for a while. Talk about not intuitive. I have friends that used Logic and they said the learning curve was hideous.
Some people call me Maurice SPLAT Pro lifetime, ADK 6 core 3.6Ghz with 32 GB RAM, SSD 1TB system drive, 3 3TB regular drives for samples, recordings and misc. Behringer X Touch, UAD Apollo Quad. 2 UAD2 Quads PCI (i think - inside the box whatever that is), Console 1. More guitars (40??) and synths (hard and soft) than talent. Zendrum!!!

I won't get drawn into the "my sequencer is best" .. I've been thru that from the computer / mod tracker / ST seqeuencer days onward.hehe I will say how different people have set up their sequencer to do what they want, logic being vastly different from user to user.. and the 100 ways to skin a cat line is true with all of these things.

I must be an exceptional genius, then. Because I installed SONAR, fired it up and started using it right away.

I consider myself a moderately intelligent guy, with an IQ approaching 3 digits. Cubase was not an easy transition for me. And I stuck with it for Cubase 5.1, SX1, SX2 and ditched it with instability problems on SX3.

ORIGINAL: bdickens I must be an exceptional genius, then. Because I installed SONAR, fired it up and started using it right away. I've told the story before... but I tried EVERYTHING out there when I decided to go with Sonar. I'm a lot like Byron... Sonar was the one I installed and in 60 seconds had sound, so, that's where I've been ever since. I've actually worked in ProTools, Logic, Cubase, etc., since... and I still like Sonar better, but I'm man enough to admit it's mostly because I know where everything is NOW, instead of having to figure out a new language.
