Midi FX Velocity

I was trying to randomize some snare hits in a project using this function.
In piano-roll I highlight the snare, set up parameters on the velocity fx and Twice I have accidentally hit the audition button.
This is a bad idea. Everything sits waiting for something to happen. Takes a reboot to get out of this. If you don't audition, everything works fine.
Anybody know why this happens.
