Sonar 8.3 and Vstudio

The first wave of VS-700's have already left Japan and will be hitting stores in the US next week. Obviously this means they won't ship with 8.3 right out of the box since 8.3 will be released later this month. Of course, 8.3 will be a free update.

The SONAR version are the same. SONAR in any box (the VS-700 box, upgrades or the retail version) is 8.00. Once you have that installed, you will need to update (for free) to 8.3 to get the best functionality. So the versions are the same and the update process is the same too. The versions are identical.

The VS-700 comes with an extra (separate) disk containing Rapture plus expansion packs, the VS-700 drivers and control surface plugin.
