Line 6 Bass expansion pack

Anyone had any success with this? I am finding it hard to get a crunchy tone with good attack. Used to have the Behringer Vbass and could get exactly what I wanted. About to give up if I cant get what I want with this.

I'm having success with the SVT amp model from the Bass Exp Pack. Dial up a decent tone with that and experiment with different cabs; the 8x10 that it's normally paired with may not be the best choice depending on your source and sound you're going for. I put the Cake FX Tape Sim after it as well.

I always turn off the compressor and EQ (not the amp knobs, the EQ "stomp box") within the GearBox plug-in. I don't think either of them sound good and use the Sonitus plug-ins instead. The defaults compressor setting are usually pretty extreme and could be why you're noticing a lack of attack. Also, mixing in some dry signal helps too.
