Continual collab partner?? REQUEST IS FILLED - THANKS

I'm looking for someone who would consider working with me and contributing the lead guitar parts for my songs. I'd like to work with someone on a continual basis if possible. Between a full time job and chores at home, I only do around 12 songs a year, so it wouldn't be that big a burden really; and I'm never in a hurry, just having a good time! It would all be collaboration over the internet. You would be credited for the lead guitar on all the songs and it would be listed on the CD when completed. The pay is great.... $00.00...!!!

These songs are not professioanlly produced, but simply mixed and produced at home by me using HS6. I do however, pay to have the CDs printed and packaged when complete. I do copyright the songs on the CD as a "collection" before I purchase the bulk quantity. This is not my job, but my ministry, and I give away far more than I sell; if I sold enough to at least pay for the next batch of CDs, that would be a small miracle in itself!! You could definitely call this a "non profit" undertaking and my mission in not to make money, but to help someone along in their walk with God. I won't talk religion or push my beliefs on you, this is simply a friendly collab relationship doing what we enjoy......making music.

You can check out my music on any of the websites listed below.
If you have any questions, you can e-mail me at duane@durodsmusic.com

Hey James, thanks for the positive vote there buddy, I really appreciate it and I know your word means a lot amongst these guys.

Willie Wonka from a lil ol town in Tejas: Yea, I'm only 200 miles due south of you. I was born and raised in the big metropolis of El Campo, about 75 miles south of Houston. We really enjoy it down here, we're only 20 minutes from Corpus Christi where you can do just about whatever you want.

Good luck Duane. I'd hop in if I didn't already have a commitment happening. Whoever gets the gig is lucky cause I have heard you really moving your music up in quality since I've been coming to the forums. Hope all is well with you.

Please send a sample to REDACTED FOR SECURITY REASONS for my audition. Please indicate Hard, Soft, Medium, Passionate, Bluesy, Shreddy, Country, Old School, Melodic, Jazzy, Classic Rock, Southern Rock, Etc. as preference or indicate "rip it up like you want" if appropriate. If the latter please advise on clean, tube tone or "out there". Direction is important, please furnish guidance as producer.

Ex pro, lots of studio time, mostly rock background, playing steady since I was 14 (1974). Rock oriented and inspired but inspired by multiple genres and have a true love of music and my instrument. Have S6PE and excellent gear and I can participate and enjoy the experience if the "fit" is right and suits your needs.

    Thank you for considering,

    Bob

Sounds a little light DuRod for a real pro to take the time to invest his time. I'm no pro but your offer is going have to be more detailed in terms of rights, payment, shares, etc. If you want to attract some talent you'll have to be more specific.
Online collaberation? Meet you at your place? meet at ____? Dates and expectations for the final result? Just a few thoughts.

Thanks so much Craig, I didn't even realize that people might be expecting MONEY !!! WOW, was I way off base, this is just for fun basically. I'm definitely not making any money at this, believe me, I'm spending WAY more than I'm making, in fact I give away more CDs than I sell. I am far, far from a professional and this is more of a ministry to me than anything else. If I was trying to make a living at this I would have starved to death loooong ago!!
I will change the wording in my post to reflect exactly what I'm talking about, and thanks again for pointing this out.

Bob: Thanks so much for the response, but as Craig stated, I wasn't explaining myself very well. You might want to re-read the post and if you still want to contribute for fun, I'd be honored to work with someone of your talent.

No big deal. I just wanted you to know what questions you might get from interested parties. If someone likes your stuff they may make it happen for you-with you. Making money off the whole thing that is.

    Duane:

I'm still where I was before CRG jumped in. I didn't really understand where he was coming from to be honest, and it kinda felt like a buzz/karma kill coming 15 minutes after my offer to participate. I have trouble comprehending some things on forums but I found your request to be pretty straightforward, "do you wanna jam, my music is posted, can you assist"? I believe I can.

Just need some material, some general direction on approach and sound, and I care more about the colab and good vibe than dollars or credit for any tracks. I made a living on stage and in the studio for the time that I was allowed/supposed to do so. Now I do it for love and to express my creativity. Still get a call now and again from the local studios for a paying gig, but they are far less satisfying than what you propose IMO.

I'm thinking that I can either return WAV or CWB files for your review and comment and if it fits your needs and mixes it will allow me another outlet. If it is destined, another or many more may respond to your call and this could grow. At BG Studios (Bob's Garage) we have a steady jam band and rotating musicians coming through my place on a weekly basis and there is still room for my participation in your project if it is meant to be. Seeing your offer with no response compelled me to respond and it would be a pleasure rather than a burden to collaborate with another who expresses themself with music.

Pull some scratch tracks together and send them over and I'll do my best!

    Peace and Grace,

    Bob
