Hong kong postal

Anyone here have any experience with how shipping times to the states are like with them? I have 2 packages coming that shipped last week air mail. Should I get my hopes up they will come quickly?

    I think it's pretty ok.

I've sent things home to Australia by the cheapest way possible and they usually take about 4 days. I've also had quite a few things ordered from the States which have arrived here in pretty quick time.

    Anyway...should be ok

I have friends that buy whacky bicycle parts and other friends that buy whacky hi fi parts from Malaysia, China and Taiwan. I'm always amazed that the stuff shows up on their doorstep.

One friend designed his own titanium bicycle frame and on a lark sent the plan to a factory in China. They phoned him at 3a.m. his time that night with a price quote. He went for it and a month later his custom designed and fabricated bike arrived. He's on his 3rd iteration now.

I think it's cool that so much global stuff is happening at such a personal scale!

I hope you have fun with what ever you are expecting,
    mike

It's a 1394b FW card (PCIe) with the TI chipset (for the Mackie mixer I have coming)

The other package is a gold plated Tele switchplate (I aximentally buffed the gold off mine), 50' of EMI sheilding tape, and a recessed 1/4" jack (I'm building a custom set-neck funk guitar)

I read the title and thought this thread was going to be about the video of the Chinese woman going nuts at the airport...

I'm sure you can trust the HK postal system as it was set up by us Brits in the first place.

Seriously though, it usually only takes a few days from posting in HK to reaching an address in the UK, but the US is just a little larger than us.
