Yeah the Baldwins seemed quite nice.

I really liked the Burns basses though, they were mad I used to play with a bassist who used a Burns Marquee and apart from all the normal p/up switch positions it had one that was labelled 'Wild Dog'!...

He used to play this old Budgie fav on it although Burke here is using a PB...it used to sound great with a bit of 'Wild Dog'...lol.

Blimey this vid must be older than the combined age of Metallica who covered it 30 years or so later....

A 1967 Japanese classical guitar under the name Wilson & Sons (whoever they are)

Basically the Wilson and Sons brand was used for Western distributors (Barnes and Mullins in the UK IIRC) and were the product of Japanese luthiers that went under the name S, K or H Yairi (there should be a label on the inside which will tell you) also the model numbers above 700 were usually the 'better' ones of the bunch. '67 must be among the earliest ones the early '70's being the most common vintage.

Thanks for the background. The model number on mine is written by hand, as are the year and serial number. The model is HM3, by the way. I haven't seen any kind of Yairi label on it.

This is the only solid body acoustic guitar I'm aware of...
1963 National Reso-Phonic w/l Mother-of-Toilet-Seat finish...
