use the mouse to "lasso" the notes you want to copy, then CTRL-C, move the timeline to where you want to paste them and hit CTRL-V

Please help me, I don't know what my problem may be. I'm doing the above in Sonar Home Studio 7. I use the cursor to draw a box around the events in the Piano Roll I want to copy. The set of events becomes highlighted. I hit Control+C to copy and then a 'Copy'  dialogue box comes up with 'Events in Tracks' and 'Meter/Key Changes' showing a check mark next to them. I click OK. I left-click where I want to paste them and hit Control+V to paste. Then a Paste window comes up with the 'Starting at Time' entry showing. But when I hit OK on that dialogue box, nothing happens! It doesn't paste the data.

I know I've done it this way in previous versions of Home Studio, and I think I'm doing it just as you describe in your post. Is there possibly some setting I do or don't have selected or something?

    Hi there Wallace.

On the Paste screen, have you clicked on the Advanced button to view all the available options?

If not, open up the Advanced view and make certain you have the Events/Clips option checked:

If the clip you're pasting has any other information copied (e.g. Tempo Changes or Markers), the relevant check box options will not be greyed out as in my screenshot, but available to select or deselect.

    Steve
