New Song... Simple

We just finished this song. It's a collaboration with two other SONAR users.

It's at http://www.robertocerini.com/music.php on the Music page and can be streamed on the player. The song is titled "Simple".

I hope you enjoy it.

I thought there was a little to much low in the vox at the start of a couple of syllables. Some more BGVs that went with the lead would be super with this song.

I'm glad you like it. It was our first project together. We're starting on a new song, along the same style. I'll post it as soon as it's done.

Cool website, great song, excellent playing and singing, good production...
My only crit would be the acoustic gtr tone, I'm hearing too much of the pickup...
    Good work...

Firstly, this is a good song. Nice pretty chords, good vocals, good guitar.

My only crits are with the drums.. not what they are doing but something with the tone.. too dry? Not sure--but something.
The only other thing, for me, is the sound of the electric piano.. maybe a little verb or eq is needed?

    Very nice song.

Overall, I'd say this sounds damn nice.
One thing...during the quieter parts in the intro, I can sort of hear a gate close or the reverb on your vocal cut off...
Just something I noticed that would sound a bit more natural if it carried through.
I like what you've got going here.

Smooth and fluent on this Roberto. Good voice. Piano and organ bits sound nice. Yeah..sweet guitar harmonies.. Well put together.

I uploaded a new version with the "gate" sound fixed, I hope. It should sound much smoother now.

    Hi.

Really nice song, the mix is great and all the individual parts sound really complimentary. I would agree with Pat in that the one thing that stood out for me as needing a little work was the drum tone. The toms sounded nice and full, but the cymbals/hats and snare sounded a little too "harsh". I think the snare needs a little more body to it so it fills the beat a little more.

    Otherwise, great stuff!

I had forgotten about this thread.  I did do a new mix trying to clean things up a bit.  It's at http://www.robertocerini.com/songs/Simple.mp3 and on the player mentioned up top.
