Extreme Home Makeover.

I don't normally watch this show - but tonight, it's about a family in Fresno, CA - where I live.

This a big deal - much bigger than I thought.

They built this family their new home in the middle of January. That big bus they live in was parked in front of the best restaurant in Fresno for the entire week.

When they do this show - there is a group from the show that come into town a couple of months before they actually shot the show. They get all of the permitting work done.

They actually tore the original house down on a Saturday and the new on was complete by Thursday of the next week.

Our city went crazy - thousands of people volunteered to support this project.

It's really a cool deal.

If you've got the time, it's on in a while.

Fog - thanks - that is really cool.

I'm watching one of the local tv stations right now - they are doing a pre-show - they said our city had 10,000 volunteers.

    Amazing.

This past August I had the priveledge of volunteering for a Habitat for Humanity project.
It was quite possibly one of the most rewarding things I have ever done. The weather took a turn for the worse, and most of the other crews bailed, but my crew held out, and when all was done, we were pretty proud of what we had accomplished.
If you ever get a chance to do something like this, go for it.
    My crew:

    That's me on the left.

I just might Robert. I'm getting close to retirement age - and when I call it quits on my job - something like that would be really cool.
