One midi track to multible TTS-1 parts?

Hello!!

I have one Midi track, and i would like to send that midi data to 2 different TTS-1 "parts" (i think its called parts in TTS-1) which are armed with 2 diffenrent sounds.

Is that possible or to I have to copy the midi track, and set the output to the 2 different midi channels of the TTS-1?

Thanks for your help!!

I haven't used TTS-1...but you should be able to select the same midi channel for both "sounds."

You'll have to copy the tracks, and set the outputs to different channels.
It's pretty much one track, one channel.
You can, however, trigger several tracks from a keyboard, by setting the inputs to Omni or all to the same input channel.
But if the data is already in the MIDI track, copyng it is really the only way.

I could never get the TTS to respond to the same midi channel on more than one part. So you could for example trigger a piano sound on part 1 and a string sound on part 2 from a midi keyboard set to send on midi channel 1.

Yes. But you need to set the Outputs of the MIDI tracks to match the corresponding parts in TTS-1.
The Inputs of the MIDI tracks can all receive on channel 1.
So you would see something like:
    MIDI track 1:
    Input: Keyboard Channel 1
    Output:TTS-1
    Channel: 1
    Bank: Preset 0
    Patch: Piano

    MIDI track 2:
    Input: Keyboard Channel 1
    Output: TTS-1
    Channel: 2
    Bank: Preset 0
    Patch: Strings

and so on, to channel 16. This is somewhat paraphrased, but I think you get the idea.

I'm talking about changing the midi channel that the different TTS parts respond to from within the plugin itself. So instead of Part 1 Channel 1, Part 2 Channel 2 etc it would be Part 1 channel 1,Part 2 Channel 1 etc. Then you could layer different sounds and save them as a preset. I don't think this is possible from within the TTS but would be cool. It would make it very much like an old Roland U220 or similar synth from the time.

Ok, I see where you're going. You can do that with the elements in Dim Pro, but yeah, I think that is beyond the capabilities of TTS-1. What I described is about the best TTS-1 can do.
