MC4 and M1 Le software (newbie)

I purchased the nanoPad in hopes of using it with MC4 and it came with a download for the Korg M1 Le. I just need to know if MC4 and M1 can used together. If so, PLEASE WALK ME THROUGH!!! I like the sounds on M1 as opposed to the soft synths that come with MC4

You should be able to use the M1 LE as long as it is VSTi or DXi format. Just go to your Global Options | VST Plugins menu inside of Music Creator and make sure that Music Creator is scanning the folder where you installed the M1 plugin. Then you should be able to insert the M1 via your synth rack or Insert | soft synth option.

Thanks for the help, it worked. One more question, I have a slight delay when I hit the pad and when I hear the sounds...how do I correct this?

that's latency.. it's to do with your sound card settings.

do you have a audio interface as opposed to the onboard one? if so it'd help.

if you can use "asio" mode.. and up the latency say from 256 buffer wise to 512.

if it's an on board card. e.g. realtek / ac97 etc.. you might try your luck with "asio4all" .. them card's are just shipped with a pc and not really the best for music making.

or you could change sonar to WDM mode, in your audio options.. and adjust the buffers.. you basically have a balance between how much audio you process / and how much time you give it to do that...e.g. if I give my soundcard low latency and give it a few demanding VST-i's it'll find problems , but if I up the buffers, the latency will increase BUT it'll give the audio more time to be processed.. most of the time it's not noticeable.
