soundcard options

hi there
currently got echo audiofire 2, running s7pe on core2duo pc. due for upgrade in a couple of months, when i'll eihter be going q9550 or i7-920. as we're moving house, and i'll have the chance to get a studio in the garage, and therefore maybe record a band, want more pre-amps than currently. here's what i'm thinking - either Motu 8pre, focusrite saffire 40 or emu 1212m plus Behringer ADA8000...the first 2 options are £400, the latter will come in around £260...anyone got any opinions on which would be the better option? driver stability, latency, pre-amp fidelity will all be issues...

cheers.

I heard that the new Saffire series have the DICE II chipset, which may or may not cause trouble inside SONAR. How about the 26 i/o? My 10 i/o works great with nary a niggle, but I wish I had bought the 26 for the extra bells and whistles.
