Where's Papa?

Haven't seen him post in a long while. I know I had my differences with papa2004, but I grew to welcome his posts. He could be brutal at times, yet offered years of knowledge and experience, that I've come to appreciate. I hope he is doing okay.

I don't know, but the topic reminded me of the movie from the 70's with the same name (although Papa was spelled "Poppa"), starring Ruth Gordon and George Siegel. Funny movie, though the book was much more irreverent.

You're right -- he hasn't posted since January. This is one of those times I wish a member would say why he's leaving!

I hope everything's okay with him, too.

I'll be your papa oaf, if you want, but it'll have to be 2009 Now, do you want me to leave a light on? leave the door open a bit? How about a bedtime story? No worries son, we'll play some catch later. All better?

he's been ill or someone in his family has been, from what was said on a thread elsewhere on here, maybe it was him or someone else.. my memory is awful.. That's his business really and I'm not one for gossiping.. He'll turn up when he's good and ready I guess.

One of my favorite scenes from that film involves George chasing his momma around the kitchen by wiggling his finger.

true Jinga.. some just leave.. some give a 20 minute speech about it.. or spend ever second post sonar bashing then wonder why no one can be bothered to reply to their thread..

me I'd just up sticks.. easiest way and keep in contact with certain people.

someone specifically comes to mind in that case , and no his name doesn't begin with J...hehe
