Latency

Does anyone know how to get rid of latency when recording? I am using the Line 6 studio ux2 as the interface which has no problem with other software.

Latency is caused by your sound card's inability to keep up with the processing needed to make the music play properly.

You can go into you options and select a different latency setting. If you're using a factory sound card... the one that came with the computer... also try a different audio driver...and run wave profiler again..

To solve the problem the right way.... you'll need to upgrade your sound card to a card designed to handle multi track recording software.

check Beagle's web site for ideas. Important.... research and ask questions before spending any money.

With the Line 6 studio, i believe you have the ASIO option for drivers, use that and set it to 128 buffer rating and see if that works smoothly for you. If it does great, if not then move to 64 for less latency, and 256 if it studders.

I'd Seize the day but i can't quite reach it!

Thanks but I'm not using the PC sound card. I'm using a line 6 audio interface.

Right. I just looked at that thing on 3 different store's sites and finally found one that said it ships with ASIO drivers. You should make sure you have the most current drivers by going to the Line 6 web site and downloading any updates.
In MC, you should change to ASIO driver mode (Options>Audio>Advanced>Driver Mode).
    That should help.
What operating system are you using? How fast is your computer and how much RAM is on board? Which MC program are you running?
