Dreamin' (w/ ext. bridge)

I've put the rough cut of Dreamin' with the potential bridge incl. up at Soundclick.
Not sure if it's "right" for the tune.

I'm looking for any and all thoughts on the matter from you all, the professionals.

Adios

I think there needs to be more dynamic difference between the parts of the song. Maybe create some more peaks and valleys along the way. Not sure if you're able to create any variation in the drum track or not, but some dramatic drum fills would be nice. Nice tune.

You asked for the professionals. Well, I thought I'd listen too, if you don't mind!

OK, I don't have anything to say about the mix--nothing sounds off to me. But I must say I absolutely love this song. Takes me back to...somewhere. And brings tears to my eyes for some reason. Just beautiful.

    The Bridge works ....

I'm doing this from memory and not sure of what key your in but I think your moving to the 3rd(Min) ....

You could actually drop to the 6th(minor) to resolve back to the root at the end ? If this makes any sense to you.

Seems like quite a nice tune.

I can understand. It's totally cool when music touches our heart. And even more cool when OUR music touches someone else's heart.

I have to go from memory here too, but like tap, it was a bit too even tonally for me. A bit more drama, in the bridge or elsewhere, would not be unwelcome.

    Cheers

I loved it, as for any changes, i think the instruments totally follow with the tonality of the vocals and to me that`s perfect.
The drums do their job as they are , this is a song that draws from the vocals in my opinion and believe the instruments
sound secondary and that`s how they should be. Great job!!!!!!!

I'm learning that subtle dynamics (be it additional instrumentation, volume levels, changes in strategic spots etc.) can really spice up a song, especally if it's a long one and hangs on the same groove for some time. The bridge added to this. It's a very good song with strong vocals/lyrics, but, don't be afraid to throw in some chili peppers in the pot. Nice song!

I'm far from being a professional, but what i thought this song needed was a really dramatic part where the drums let rip and the guitars go loud and then back into the calmer vibe again, with maybe an electric guitar playing along side the acoustic. At the moment it sounds good, but it begins to sound a bit pedestrian over the full length of it. I reckon a louder, more dramatic bridge would really lift it.
