EWQL Gold play

Hi! I have Sonar 6 homestudio and recently I got the EWQL play Gold Orchestra. I am having trouble with the keyswitches. If I play them it works, but if I write them, there's nothing, no change. Anyone here had that problem?

Thanks!

Yes, I haven't figured out a fix yet since I just upgraded to PLAY. You may have to enter the KS notes manually in the Piano Roll view. I'll post again if I figure anything else out.

I did write them in the piano roll, but nothing, zilch, nada!

Well that stinks. Maybe there is something in the settings that allow MIDI messages to KS notes. I'll have to check after work.

I'm using EWQLSO Play in Sonar 8, and keyswitches are working fine. Are you 100% sure you're triggering the right keys (right octave?) I usually have a window with EWQLSO open while I input the keyswitches in the piano roll window so I can watch the EWQLSO keyboard play while I input the notes and be sure I'm putting the keyswitch notes in the right octave.

    Funny...mine are working fine now.

Not in my case. I recorded the solo violin Master KS into Sonar, and eveything was switching fine while recording. When I played it back, none of the changes occured. I checked and the KS notes were all present in the piano roll view. Odd.

Actually all I can think of is this:

It is possible that the default "0" or omni channel in Play has a problem recognizing KS notes if the MIDI track is set to, let's say channel 1. Be sure to set the instrument to a specific channel that matches the Midi track.

Unfortunately, despite a great product, the EWQL forums, especially the one for Symphonic Choirs, which I have, are not a place to get quick help. I got much better help for the EWQL product on a competitors forum. When I first installed the product, I had a key question before I could proceed. I submitted the question as a tech support case and waited nearly a week without getting a response, so I closed the case, having figured it out eventually for myself. What a disappointment to buy a product and have the company you buy it from have so little regard for you as a new customer that they don't even bother to respond to a question that is not answered in any FAQ or other documentation. Product: great. Support: Incredibly bad so far.
