MIDI Pickup on Acoustic Guitar?

I've been reading about MIDI pickups for guitar. They always show them on electrics, the mounting hardware on the Roland GK-3 needs modified if it's to be mounted on a thicker body type.

Are there feedback issues using an acoustic that might cause tracking problems with the MIDI pickup? Anyone ever use MIDI with an acoustic?
