Asmodius...our first little song

Hey all, my dad has been letting us record with MC4. we have been practicing with it a bit and wrote a short instrumental. we are 13 and 14 year old guys who dream of being big time someday. the drums we used are from a video game called rock band. Timmy is our drummer and they worked pretty good for him. I know the mix is not the best, but we are learning about that stuff too. you should listen to our song and tell us what you think...
Thanx,

I'm glad I'm only 12 - makes me feel like I still have a chance.

    Good job.

LOL. Yeah, me too, Mark! :-)

Great job, you guys! I love to see young people take music seriously--while you still have time! Way to go! I can't help you with the mix--I'm still learning myself. But I'm thoroughly impressed. Keep it up!

    pretty awesome jdscott.

after that intro i hear five distinct movements in this piece. the main riff/groove at the beginning is nice and the second is crunchy with a a good drive. the solo (4th) is cool and then you return to the first.

    what sticks out for me:
sounds like some reverb added at the very beginning; if so, it could be toned down a notch. At 1:10, that five beat cymbal crash comes across really loud. sure, you're signaling a transition into the solo, but the levels of the drums overtake the solo. finally, at the end, after you return to the initial riff, the tune just fizzles on that last note. end it like you've earned getting there.

    stick with it. great job.

    Good job.

Damn fine work fella's. There was a moment of weirdness at around the 1:10-1:20 min mark - like a spike in sound.

    Cheers

Pretty impressive stuff. Plenty of folks two and three times that age still haven't got quite that far. I heard the big spike as well. It's like some enormously loud cymbal of some sort. But the song certainly has a lot of drive and power.

Thanx guitar hacker! we are going to get our own account here so we can have our own identity on this forum. I just did a little remix on our song and re posted it, it sounds better now, I think. The old guy on my dad's thread gave us some good advice on recording which we will use in next weeks recording sessions. thanx to all you guys for listening!
