Do the v-700c controls work in 14 bit ?

Hi. Just recently I discovered "high resolution 14 bit midi" and was wondering, if the v-700c and therefore also sonar 8 are working with this higher resolution?

(Everyone, who'll try to tell me, MIDI only got 128 steps no matter what, please get yourself up to date.)

    Hi Grent,

The VS-700C faders are indeed 14-bit, which translates to 16, 385 steps of resolution. This is higher resolution than Euphonix, MCU, and others.

My modded Peavey Studiomix does 14 bit MIDI as well...I have been "up to date" for a while, it seems...

Even the Behringer BCR- and BCF-2000 do. I never knew though.

Even the now ancient Logic Control used 14bit pitch change messages for the faders. I can't imagine Mackie made a step back in that department. Euphonics does indeed only use 10bit for the faders.
