It's funny, not political "per se"

It's a parody. If you haven't seen, "Presidential Jeopardy on Jay Leno" It's one of the funniest things "ever performed" LOL! The guys have the mannerisms DOWN! And the jokes are, well I was crying and gasping for air. It's not political, just funny :-)

It took some time to get going, but it got pretty funny, even for a European. Good to see not everything is considered above a little poke, even Saint Abe.

Sort of defeats the purpose of abbreviations, doesn't it?

I don't think it was an abbreviation I thought it was an onomatopoeiaic spelling of the noise it made. Therefore the explanation was vital to enlighten us as to what the funny noise was.

Just by co-incidence it was an acronym...

Hmm...I wonder if there is a word like acronym or onomatopoeia that describes such a phenomenon. (acronomatopoeiaym?)

edit: to correct the mis-spelled word 'it'...

Yes, you are correct - acronym was the correct word. But it defeats the purpose of shortcuts in general, I meant.

BTW - my turn to nitpick - it's not onomatopaic, since lshcbomn is not a common name for anything (onoma). That it resembles the sound in your idea is nice, but not the same thing.

    So it's just an acronym.

My dad had a guy working for him years ago that wrote everything as imitative harmony. The cool thing was one could understand exactly what he had written. He was also a bass player and I don't know why I'm mentioning that.

That was funny. The Bush guy was really convincing.

    No it isn't.

Maybe we both should have gone Wiki bound...then you'd have realised that I was right and you'd totally misunderstood the nature of my post. 30 seconds of Wiki trumps your 9 years of classic language...

I'm afraid that's all you can claim to be.

That acronym is not the common *name* for anything.

I meant the original meaning of my post, in the sense that if you have to *explain* that acronym, it sortof defeats the meaning.

Instead of saying 'but I get your point', however, you go all pedantic over something *you* bring up.

Congrats. It must be fun to be you.

OMG, I don't believe it I thought we were having a bit of fun mutual banter and you go and got yer thong all wedged. Why that's funnier than the OP's vid.

since lshcbomn is not a common name for anything (onoma).

btw earlier it was onoma that meant common name now it's Acronym? I can't keep up...
