Find the swing in music

I dont know if I'm in right forum but i got qustion..
How do i tell what the swing in music is??

Ex. rap i know has like 50% swing

I'm looking to find the swing of motown music
any suggestions? i try 45% at 120 tempo
but kind sound like rock song then..
