Laptop and GTPro

I want to purchase a new laptop strickly for recording with GTPro Ver.3, any suggestions as to what Laptop would work best for this. I will be using the Edirol UA-25 interface. The Edirol UA-25 is 24bit 96khz. One of the problems I have had in the past was Latency. What will resolove this issue?

What issues will I have with Vista, how much ram should I have, and what type of sound card should I be looking for.

I've had the GTPro software for sometime, but I'm a novice when it comes to recording. I plan on recording some vocals and guitar!

I'm looking for some serious help! I really want to start out with the right equipment and software. I'm just a novice to recording and an intermediate guitar player.
