Cakewalk Support

Since I cannot come to this forum for guidance an any subject without ridicule by the "experienced" Sonar users in PM's e-mails and posts I will from now on go direcctly to cakewalk/Roland by phone or any means that will get me in touch eventually to someone in person.I will get someone attention on this matter! whatever it takes.

NICK P and CHEFMIKE888you've got my full attention

If your refering to this thread where Mike and Nick lost there patience. That happens from time to time.
for you to make another thread for no purpose really tells allot about you....
My advice is to ignore them or block them. Making threads like this is stupid imature and a waste of space.

It's not worth getting angry about, you only got yourself with that.

We'll just ignore their posts/e-mails and focus on mine as immature and a waste of time . There's a few people here that have a very high opinion of themselfs.

Alex, it turned out to be a problem with the system. I had to have dell support go in and re-install some drivers that didn't have anything to do with audio. I only worked at getting the DAW software up and going so I didn't use any programs that would have shown there was a problem somewhere else. Thank you for the guidance.

Thanks CJ, and no I didn't send the op any PM's. I honestly thought he was a troll because he wasn't offering much info and seemed to be changing what the hardware and issues were. Ok my bad and I'm sorry. I do make mistakes every so often (well ok A LOT). Once again, sorry to offend.
Now everyone can carry on and have a great day.

    Peace
    Mike

Sometimes, in an effort to protect ourselves from the embarassment of appearing to be exploited by trolls, pirates, and spammers, we lose perspective. The thread that is linked in CJ's post above is really not anything we should be proud of. It is best to presume that questions are sincere. If you think you are being trolled, the simple response is to keep silent, and let others look like fools for attempting to help. The OP has enough posts here to earn two bronze stars, so you might have expected him to be more saavy in the way he asks his question, but it would be a very long lived troll indeed to have hung around this long. In any event it would have been better for people to ignore him or ask him to provide more details. Criticism of his choice of screen name and sarcasm about his avatar did not help anyone much. I do not say that you agreed with that part of the post that you quoted, but a specific comment might have served you better than piling on. If the OP's big caps criticism is also less than specific, and made him look overly emotional, I think most of us could see where it came from.

People see trolls like McCarthy saw communists. I think the reality is that they rarely really exist. Anytime someone doesn't respond as expected they must be a troll. This reaction is ridiculous and it's usually exhibited by the people that live on a forum or use it as a major part of their social life. If you think someone is a troll the only intelligent reaction is to ignore them.
