I don't browse the forums very often but I do tend to come by sometimes to check out on new developments of project5 and sometimes I listen to ppl's creations. I'll give you a very honest feedback. 1)The track lacks flow. It tends to jump from melody to melody without a proper transition. Try automating parameters and smooth out the sequences. 2)The sounds are not very atmospheric. They sound a bit too video game-ish. I would make use of effects to 'phatten' up the sounds. 3)Things sound a bit too rushed. When I listen to it, i feel like you were in a hurry when putting it together. Some of the notes aren't transposed correctly and sound a bit off key. Listen to each loop you create again and again and try to make each part the best it can be. Then put the pieces of the puzzle together. 4)Less is more. You have too many things goin on in the track. Focus on each part and try the minimal approach first to get a solid track going. Then if you feel you need to add more stuff, do it. What vsts did you use for the track? The kick sounds like a venegeance essential sample but I could be dead wrong. Nice effort though, keep it up :)

Thanks chap, I appreciate your time and comments. I don't tend to do things by halves in my tracks (as many will know).. just go for it mix it up, and mash it up! 5 songs in 1, so i'm told... I guess this one is what you make of it... not everyone's cup of tea i'm sure. VST's are Nexus, Helix, Blue, Albino, Predator, Sylenth, Vanguard and Stylus RMX. Bestest, Paul

I usually use Orion for my tracks. But I thought i would give projec5 a spin. I seem to be having an issue with automation. None of my parameters show up for trilogy. For massive, when i record automation for the macro filter, or anythng to be fair, it seems to start jumpin around (the knob). Pretty strange. Is this some bug?

Ye cool, I thought this was really interesting now what I was expecting, you have some cool interesting chord progression, it does sound like two songs mixed into one, in my opinion the chord progressions are both really strong and could both be two different tunes, but if thats your style then that cool.

I don't use either of those VSTs so I can't comment from experience. As long as you're drawing nice straight automation lines by holding down the shift key it should be ok. If you continue to have problems it may be worth starting a new thread Bestest, Paul

I like it but compared to some of the recent ones I heard from you I just didn't like this one as much, again though I really love these progressive tracks that constantly evolve...nice work on that I guess it was mostly the sound selection sounded a little less inspired than what you usually do, of course thats all subjective

Paul, interesting one. Like the break in the middle with the lead (such a happy sound!). I thought you might be going :10: on us with the more industrial sounds popping up in the beggining (and I like how you kept bringing them in). I found the song made me laugh - in a good way. Overall, I found it up to your standards - well arranged and produced. And rather than gamish, I found it rather cinematic, if frentic. @

https://soundcloud.com/a-pleasure-dome http://www.bnoir-film.com/ there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head. 24 And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the Lord. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them.

I thought this flowed really well and it all seemed to fit to my ears. Even though i'm not all that keen on Trance, there was enough going on in this track to keep my interest and i'm impressed as always with your mixing and production skills. Good one Paul.

Bright, cheerful, rhythmic...nice! Pleasant chord progressions, sufficient variety, good choice of sweet sounding patches. You've put your synths to good use, man!

Paul I usually get a chance to get here every once in a while. I always look for your material and Dave's I am a big fan of you guys. that being said I would have to say this was not (in my opinion) one of your better tarcks...... I think it is good......but you need to par it down a little.....like you said ....too many tunes inside the one..... If you can do that then I think you'll have this one.........but hey it is still better that anything I can do so keep on writing !!!! your very talented. Cliff
