Beatscape Splice editor

I am composing a piece using Sonar 8 Producer and I have found a sound I want to remove from a sample loop.

The sample loop is from the Beatscape Factory Content Library Grooves: Tamborine-RockinBreak-130.rx2 from the RockinBreak folder.

Specifically...it's the first time the Tamborine sounds. I want to remove it from the track I have already recorded. How can I do that?

Beatscape doesn't appear to allow me to remove it using the slice editor without damaging the whole sample to be looped.

I have it recorded already and I want to snip-off the begining tamborine but allow the rest to stay. Is there a tool I can use to do this that wont damage the entire tracks recording?

    Further...

I recorded it using a midi keyboard controller. When I press the key that triggers the loop it begins with a tamborine then follows up with a drum beat, then a tamborine sounds again and the drum beat...etc. I want to remove the initial tamborine sound but I can't edit it out in Beatscape without messing up the entire loop.

What gooey is available to open the specific recording and remove the first tamborine sound?

Cant you just right click the slice in question and select silence? Or is this not what you want?

As a suggestion and the way I have used some of the Beatscape loops in the past is to open an RXP and drag the .rex file directly from its folder on the left hand side of Beatscape - "Tamborine-RockinBreak-130.rx2" in your case, straight into the RXP. You can then insert that into your track by dragging directly from the RXP and edit the beginning via PRV.

I`m sure there probably is a way to do what you want via Beatscape, I haven`t spent much time editing with it but there are certainly some nice sounding perc loops and this how I have used them and edited them.

HTH and good luck getting it sorted.
