Recording Guitar...Sonar 7

Hello,

Im not really sure if this is a sonar issue or something else, but here's my problem.

I am using sonar 7 PE, M-audio projectmix and also Guitar Rig 3 as a VST

When I try to record a guitar track and add GR3 as a VST I hit the echo button so i can hear what the vst sound will be like. The problem is I can still hear the clean guitar in the background as well from the guitar being plugged into the input of the board.

Does anyone know how to get rid of this...its not showing up in the recordings or anything, its just a little annoying...id rather not have it there if possible

thanks

Open the mixer for your soundcard and mute the channel that your guitar is plugged into.

Windows 7 Pro 64bit, Core i7 920, Asus p6td deluxe, Sonar X1c PE, Motu 2408 mk3, Apogee Mini DAC, 3x UAD-1, Digimax FS, Motu Microlite, MCU, Tranzport, Nocturn. And more...
