Problem with "Bounce to Track[s]" in Sonar

I have been having problems with the "Bounce to Track" option in Sonar 8.3.1 (Producer Edition). Every time I attempt to bounce a MIDI track into audio I only get a flat line, or nothing at all. I have had one instance (in more than 1000 attempts) where I was successful. However, I can not figure out for the life of me why I was successful then and unsuccessful every other time!

I do not have any problems with recording audio through a microphone and the "Bounce to Track" option appears to be very simply in theory. I wonder if the problem has anything to do with my input/output settings. This is because with certain plugins (e.g. TTS-1) when I bounce I get a flat line with one setting, but I get absolutely nothing with another input/output setting.

I can't get it to work. Any suggestions would be greatly-greatly appreciated!!
