Dimension pro june 2009 hot fix still broken in Cubase

I saw the new fix for Dimension Pro at high sample rates, and thought it contained the hot fix released some time ago for Cubase 4 (and 5).

Sadly it isn't so, the new fix still produces tons of stuck notes.

So, high sample rates OR cubase compatibility?

Thanks,
Mario

... and, it seems many presets are now having heavy problems, extreme panning, different sounds and so on...

SONAR 8.3.1 here, anyone else has checked out the Dim Pro hot fix?

    Thanks,
    Mario

    Mario -

Please tell us about your findings using the problem report form as requested in the thread.

    Cubase 4 (and 5)

That hotfix came out well before Cubase5 so we had no way of knowing whether or not it will work there, but we are looking into it.

and, it seems many presets are now having heavy problems, extreme panning, different sounds and so on

Please review the instructions on the hotfix downloads page, some users may need to download and copy over the Default Region and Default Effects SFZ files. A zipped file containing both is available for download.

    Best Regards,

    Hi Willy,

actually the Cubase 4 hot fix (released months ago) works perfectly in Cubase 5 as well; the problem is that the newly released hot fix doesn't instead, and behaves just like the stock 1.2 Dim Pro, that is not stopping notes on Cubase transport stop.

About the sfz files, I've downloaded them and l'll try replacing them, but please note that I never messed with them directly, other than installing the expansion packs and extra content for SONAR 8.3.1... could it be I need to refresh those files anyway?

Is the change effective also on already existing projects?

    Thanks,
    Mario

If you installed version 1.2, then yes you do. Cakewalk's description is misleading about this. The "original" means not the 1.2 originals, but the original originals from the previous verions. *They* modified these files.
