Missing Drum Map Manager Sonar 7 & 8

Problem: Nothing happens when I try to open the Drum Map Mananger.

Background:
I recently upgrade from Sonar 7 Studio to Sonar Producer 8, same thing happened in Sonar 7. I can open drum maps but clicking on the Drum Map Manager does nothing.

Computer: Vista 3Mhz Intel Duo 4GB RAM

Other: I searched the forum and found nothing else like this. Also I downloaded the trial Sonar 8 on another computer the the Drum Map Manager popped right up.

Any Ideas, Thank You GLConner

when you installed 7 or 8, did you ever install the drum maps? did you check any boxes related to the drum maps??

Yes, The Drum Maps were installed in both versions, I can view them when using the step sequencer and such however clicking on the drum map manager in options on the step sequencer or in the track pane produces nothing, it's as if i did not click on anything.

Go to Options>Global>Folders>Drum Maps and find out where S8 is looking for Drum Maps.

Just speculating, as I have never run into this problem...

The drum map manager should still open even if no drum maps have been defined. Otherwise, how would you create the first one?

The drum map manager is an internal dialog, as opposed to a separate executable like, say, the plugin manager. So I'd guess some fundamental SONAR file dependency (most likely a DLL) is missing.

Try uninstalling and reinstalling SONAR, while logged in as Administrator.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

I never could find a fix for this, however it is now working fine in X1, very strange, probably something to do with my computer.

I had this problem  a while ago:
The fix was a registry edit of HKEY Current user/software/Sonar8.5/Drum map manager to set the x and y coordinates to 0.

What happened was the window was opening in an off-screen location.

Thanks Axiology, this has fixed the issue for me in Sonar 6 producer (I know). For information, Sonar is saving a value into the LastX and LastY registry keys on exit, so the fix needs to be done in the correct sequence, close down Sonar, edit the LastX and LastY keys to 0 then start Sonar up again. It took a while to figure this out so I just thought I'd mention it..
