Calling EW. MASSIVE Problem

Hey EW.
Sorry to contact you here but when I try to log onto the NI site it says that my password is wrong and I cant find how to get a new one without singing into my account first .

I just re-installed MASSIVE after about a year. I downloaded the update and when I run it, it says something about the directory not being found. I did not move any of the files from the locations that I selected on the install. I also tried un-installing and re-installing MASSIVE from the disc again and then running the update again, and tried updating the fresh install before opening MASSIVE and one time I opened the software first, closed it and ran the update. I have tried to re-download the update 3 times in case something went wrong there too.
No luck. Any info or ideas on this?

Thanks for your time and help.
Mike

    Thanks Alree, that did it.
I have to say, that's pretty stupid. I don't want, need or use the standalone version so why should I have to install it?

Cant figure that one out, its the only plugin that I have that needs the standalone version installed before it will work as a PLUGIN.

Mine worked as a plug-in but it wouldn't let me install the update.

Cant figure that one out, its the only plugin that I have that needs the standalone version installed before it will work as a PLUGIN.

I've said it countless times before, and I'll say it again:

All NI plugins must be run as standalones immediately after an install or update, and before trying to use them as plugins for the first time. Otherwise, the plugin won't initialize correctly.

Same here. Thanks for the crucial tip of 1)cleaning up and defragging the target HDD. -and- 2) kompletely uninstalling GR3 Le before the K 5 install. My only hitch was that I started installation a bit late in the afternoon and had to abort Kontakt 3 kontent install about a third of the way through. Unfortunately, the installer starts from the beginning with no option to resume where you previously left off.

My sure-fire way of avoiding issues with NI product installation -or- updates is to first run Service Center before even running in standalone for the first time and make sure it's activated. That way when you run it for the first time in standalone you don't even have to deal with Service Center afterwards.

That's what I do as well; run the SC immediately after any install that needs activation. It's just a lot easier that way.
