Audio Driver Error

Ha anyone else had a problem where a window shows up saying Audio Driver Error, I have no idea how to fix thing. It says "The following drivers either do not support the current audio format, or are in use with another application." Then it asks whether i want to disable them or use them anyway.  I have no idea what to do, i cannot record or play back clips once i open the program.  Any help is appreciated.

Have you read the relevant sections in the manual or the help file regarding setting up your audio interface? If not, start there.

Well what sound card are you using?
What sample rate is it set at?
What bit depth is it set at?
What is you project's bit and sample rate recorded at?

They both need to match and it needs to be set to what ever your sound card supports, or youll get that message

im certain the sample rate is match the program and the sound card and the bit depth is matching too,  even when i click the wave profiler it does nothing, nothing is available and the messege appears again, im totally lost. ive been pissing around with it for a week now, learning little bits and pieces but getting no where.

Remember to turn on the soundcard before opening Sonar. Under Options/Audio/Drivers make sure that your soundcard ins and outs are selected. Then under the General tab be sure to select your soundcard as the playback and record timing master. Then run the wave profiler.

I'm just throwing things out there because I have no idea how far you have gotten or what you have tried so far. It would also be nice to know what interface/soundcard you're using.

This means you have nothing selected in sonar as far as a sound card goes.
If you so certain, why not list the sample rates of the card and soanr like i asked before. youll be pi=ssing for a year if you dont give details on what your doing and what sonar and your sound card is set to
