drivers for cakewalk music connector 1

Hiya. I ordered the updgrade to Sonar 8 Studio from the online Cakewalk store. It arrived with a Cakewalk Music Connector 1. Six months later, my Edirol midi interface is fried so I'm trying to hook up the Cakewalk connector. Vista64 asks me to insertl the Sonar8 disc to get the driver, but then it can't find it. I've been looking on the Cakewalk site but I can't find a driver or a patch for it, or even any mention of the product. Anyone know where it is? Thanks! Bil

thats the midi interface that has a "advanced midi" switch on it?

switch it to normal and it'll work without any driver. it'll use a windows generic one.. there aren't any v64 drivers for it if memory is correct.. but it'll use windows generic driver.

Thanks! You are correct sir. I turned that switch off and cakewalk is getting the signal. Now that my Edirol interface is disconnected, and it's set for ASIO, there is nothing in the playback or record timing master dropdown. I can't hear anything coming out of Sonar.  Is it worth trying to set it up, or forget about it until I get the new Edirol UA-25ex tomorrow?

you said you fried it? how ? by putting on something phatom power that wasn't etc?

you might as well wait for the new interface.. and make sure you get the drivers off the website .. as they are probably newer than cd one's perhaps..
