Waveform Disappears

I'm using Sonar Producer 4. It's been a while since I did any recording, and I'm experiencing a bit of a (re)learning curve.

I'm all set to record a guitar track, and I arm the track, go into record mode, and play the part. As I'm recording, I can see the waveforms on the screen. Bur when I stop recording, the waveforms disappear and so does any trace of the audio.

Any thoughts on why this is happening?

Thanks.

Computer specs, soundcard, etc.? Are you running Windows Vista? Sonar 4 was not designed to work with Vista, since Vista didn't exist at the time.

    Thank you for your assistance.

I finally exited the program and then restarted it. The problem then stopped happening. Go figure. I think I had changed my audio drivers or some such thing, and that was the likely cause.
