Some plinkerty-plonk music for yas. {Improved mix and master +additions - 1st sept}

made this one a few days ago. This one goes plinkerty plonk. More mischief with electrons.

Depth:   http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_songInfo.cfm?bandID=256008&songID=8039044

Edit.  Shoved it through the "blippathon"  to increase aural enjoyment (i hope), and spiced the end section up with added percussion.   I think i've finally got a handle on this mastering business (hopefully), so any comments on that would be most appreciated. Ta.

This sounds great on my setup.

I love the glitchy beat and legato bass.

Did I leave my mics on and you heard me through the net? If you heard what I was playing with this weekend too, you might find it a bit eerie.

    Sounds great.

The underlying part might be perfect for the boys. You mind if I show them this?

Sounds great as usual. I think I would have liked to have heard more development in the drum loop. It seems to not make the increase in density and chaos that the music does and starves the track for intensity before the break. My 2 cents. Peece.

Yep i see what you mean so i've spiced up the percussion in the final section and uploaded a new version.

Perhaps I didn't explain what I was thinking well enough. I think it should be bigger and more intense, explosive even going to break and cool down and maybe even not rebuild off the cool down, or perhaps keep the rebuild, but keep the gain down or verb it to hint at the rebuild that never comes.
Not that you need advice from me anyway.

A very well done piece, IMHO with potential for some cool electric guitar in some parts, if you were to fancy that.

It seems that you may have lost a little of the brightness from the original in the remastering.

Yeah i wanted to get rid of some of the searing highs i was hearing, especially the piano sounds, they sounded a bit too edgy, and to give it more punch.   I do prefer it now it's a bit more mellow sounding.

Well, Professor Proliffo, master of the underneath thingy.   Another cool tune.  I still think of Venutians and chuckle when I hear your music.  That's a good thing.  Those drums got going there.  No 700BPMs?  ha.  Way to go, Blipp.  Oh, from where I sit it couldn't be any fuller or more clear.  Ther was a slight crackling in the first minute or so.  Was that part of the tune or am I just hearing things?   I listened again and it sounds like an old 45 rpm record noise.  Intentional? One of your thingys?  Starts when the percussion starts.   It goes away, though.  Oh, the tune is even better the second time through. buddy!

Great tune, balanced and the sounds really fit great together. Only crits is that maybe the arrangement could be a little more exciting, seemed pretty standard (but I shouln't talk I rarely venture outside the comfort of IVVCVVCBCCO).

All in all very nice, just like I had excpected from you.

Did you use "Izotope Vinyl" by any chance at the beginning (from 0:14 and beyond)? Or is that a secret ingredient? You've got the punch, the rms is way up there but you still managed to leave yourself lot's of room dynamically speaking. Another excellent mix and overall ambient soundscape. Bravo!

I have downloaded this and am looping while I play some piano over it. I kinda felt like just jamin a bit.

This song puts me in a nice mood, my 'happy place'.
