What are your favourite Dim Pro Patches?

I have recently installed Dimension Pro.

I was a bit disappointed with the sounds intitially.

But have found a few good orchestral sounds in there.

I'm wondering what are your favourite patches in Dim Pro?

I really like all of the "Dimensions" from the factory set.  I also find myself going for the programs in the free Expansion Packs 1 & 2. "Clusters and Harmonies", "Sweeps, Analog, Pads" are a few of the folders I usually go to most often.  Also the pizzicato strings.  =)

A lot of the stuff in dimensions are great for sfx, as chad points out.  Dimension isn't  quite the bread and butter one size fits all synth, but it has a good collection of basic sounds w/ some specific areas well covered.  And the wierd stuff is just that.  Personally, I use the strange patches more than anything, but I don't do a lot of acoustic emulation, which is what Dimension does.

My favorite Dimension Pro patches are the ones from all the Digital Sound Factory site.

Dimension Pro is a fantastic instrument with an otherwise less than stellar 7 gigs of sounds in the factory bank. Only about 20% of them are any good, whereas about 80% of the DSF sounds are good.

Thanks Trusty.  I'm finding that more and more hardware and soft synths these days are full of sounds we don't need.

I agree that in my short trial of the dim pro sounds the DSF soundset is better

Expansion Pack 1, Clusters and Harmonies. These are so incredibly lush that sometimes I just go through them all to hear them again. However I have only used a couple in songs.
Highland, Iceland, Princess of Nowhere, etc.

I only have Dimension LE and must say mainly use and like Garritan Pocket Orchestra sounds, and acoustic basses and few others but i think in Dimension LE there is even less usefull sounds but its sad if Dimension Pro dont contains many usefull sounds. I thiking something for bread and butter sounds when Ik multimedia totalworkstation 2 its not
enough. luckly there is much where choose even some hardware stuff is good in this area.(Mainly Rolands synths to me even based what i heared and little tested)
