How to use an electronic drum kit as a midi device with session drummer 2?

My friend and I are trying to record for our band that we have. We are using Session Drummer 2 on Sonar Producer Edition 8 to record my Yamaha DTXTREME 3 Special electronic drumkit using midi to record my parts, but the snare and kick drum start playing loops when the triggers are hit. We tried disabling the loops and now the kick and snare aren't making any sound, but they're still registering hits.

    3 options really..

    1) use drum maps to re assign the hits.. make a note of which drum triggers which note and change the IN notes... I would play each pad on a normal midi track.. make a note of the numbers to make things easier.

perhaps use my drum map off http://www.harmoniccycle....13-drum_maps_SONAR.htm

the file you want is " Session Drummer 2 SONAR 8.3 revB content update drum maps "

with it there is a template file for SD2.. so all you really need to edit is the IN notes.

    2) see if there is a setting on the kit where you could re-assign the numbers

    3) hit the notes , move them by hand..
