Solo v PFL

I'm sorry if this is a real noob type question so pls feel free to shout "Read the F&%$ing manual".

I have read the manual and I can't find how to do a PFL rather than Solo.  I know the difference is very subtle,  but I find PFL way more useful when setting eq's and fx on a track that would normally be less than upfront in the mix.

Is there a way I've missed or am I stuck with Solo?

Well you can use a send set to be pre fader and have a bus excepts it. There is a thing called dim solo in Sonar it will lower but not mute other channels.
