OT: Can't see Delta 1010 control panel
Hola amigos, All of a sudden when I click the lower right icon it shows up in the taskbar but I can't see the control panel on the screen. IOW, I can see the icon showing it's opened ("button" depressed) and I can close it there but I get no control panel....any ideas? I'm pretty sure I didn't erroneously drag it completely off the screen but I have my resolution set as high as it will go so I can't be sure. Thanks very much, Randy

Surely someone has a suggestion?

right click , and you get options. it might not be detecting the card. my ozone does that, maybe once every 3-4 months reinstall the s/ware.. if that doesn't work.. re-seat the card after a reboot with it NOT in.

I own (a few) Delta1010 and I had a similar issue a while back. I think the solution I used was to right click the icon in the taskbar and select "Maximize". I think that the delta control panel gets stuck in a state where its restore size is the same as minimize. When you click on an item in the taskbar it typically "restores" its size, but if it's restoring back to a minimized state then nothing will appear to happen. It's been a while since I had this happen, but I'm pretty sure you select "Maximize". Please reply either way so that I can either suggest something else or others will find the solution useful....

Thanks Peter but when I right-click the "opened" icon I only have "M-Audio Driver CPL, Pin to taskbar, and close window" as options. I should mention that I'm running Win 7 RC though. Fog: "right click , and you get options. it might not be detecting the card." If by it you mean Sonar it seems it does recognize it. Thanks again guys, Randy

I've seen this issue occur on both Vista and Win7 -- and possibly on XP too but it's been a while :-) Anyway I know I'm on the right track with the solution but I just can't recall the exact combination of keys. Hmmm....try this: - Select the icon in the task bar to make it "active" (even though you can't see the activated window) - Simultaneously press [ALT] + [SPACEBAR] - If an option appears to "Maximize" then select that - If not, then press "X" (which is the keyboard shortcut for Maximize within that menu) - and viola? Let me know if that works...and don't give up just yet!

ONE MORE THING: Other than the "minimize" issue I mentioned earlier, it's possible that the control panel is "off-screen" (in some imaginary additional monitor-land). If the steps above fail, then try these similar steps: - Select the icon in the task bar to make it "active" (even though you can't see the activated window) - Simultaneously press [ALT] + [SPACEBAR] - Press the "M" key (this is to manually move the screen using your keyboard cursor keys) - Now try the left or right arrow keys on your keyboard - If your window was off screen then this ought to help bring it back into focus on your main screen (btw, you can test your skills with manipulating a window using just the keyboard by opening something like notepad and, with it visible in front of you, go through the above steps -- you should be able to verify the validity of these steps with something you can see, and then move on to trying to use them against the window that you can't see)
