A dumb question perhaps

Hi...

So, I bought the full blown Producers edition to replace my aging Sonar 3.5 rig and I noticed a few things I am confused about... Could I get some insight...

1. I thought this thing came with Session drummer 3 but all I can find is Session drummer 2. Did I miss the install or does it have to be downloaded or something?

2 Same Story with the amber piano suite

3. I dont have any preset files with my convolution reverb... again ..

Err anyone?

    It should be under Insert-SoftSynths.

If not, go under Insert>SoftSynths>Plug-InLayouts>Scan VST Plug-Ins.

It should have installed.  If the above doesn't work, give tech support a call

If you received the DVD's for 8.5 you may just have missed it in the boxes that you check off for what to install or you don't have the locations for the newly installed vst's included in your scan setting.  The likely installed under    program files/cakewalk/vstplugins.

to add new scan locations go to menu   TOOLS  -  CAKEWALK PLUGIN MANAGER  - OPTIONS which will bring up the box to add scan locations for new plugins.

If this doesn't solve it post back.

Pretty sure Session Drummer 3 came with the free upgrade from 8.0 to 8.5 on the cakewalk website.

Session 3 is definitely on the Sonar 8.5 install setup disks, but I think there were some enhancements to it on the 8.5.1 and 8.5.2 update downloads.

The original poster never said he bought 8.5, perhaps he bought Sonar 8 Producer. If so, it won't have Session Drummer 3 only Session Drummer 2.
