Mfx pluging and DXi SDK

Hello,

I would like to develop a midi plugin.  Along  with the MFX SDK included in DXi2 it' not clearly written here ( http://www.cakewalk.com/devxchange/mfx.asp ) that the  Microsoft DirectX SDK is required for midi plugin. since it's not audio related my guess is it's not required.

Am I wrong or right ?

    After some tests, the Microsoft DirectX SDK is not required for MFX midi plugins.
