Guitar Tracks Pro 3 and M-Audio

Hi everybody, I'm a newbie to the forum so please don't flame me if my question is redundant.

I am a Guitar Tracks Pro 3 user and I love this ease of use with this product. In the past I have imported my tracks from a digital multi-tracker (Fostex MR-8) and never experienced any problems. I realized life would be easier if I purchases a USB interface for my computer and just solely use Guitar Tracks. I purchased an M-Audio Mobile Pre USB and installed to my computer, made the miner adjustments to Guitar Tracks and I am off and recording. The one problem I have come upon is when I have add a number off effect to my project. When I remove a couple of effects from the project, boom, everything is off and running as it should. I don't have this problem with the onboard sound card of my laptop, so I'm eying the Mobile Pre as the culprit.

Has anybody come across this problem and what was your solution if any. Thanks for the help.

    Bill,

Welcome. What driver type are you using and what is the buffer size? You may want to make sure you are using ASIO and that you increase the buffer sizer in increments of 128KB untill everything starts working correctly.

    Hi Doc,

If I had the ability to buy you a beer, I most certainly would. Increasing the buffer did the trick, thank you.

Hi there Bill, welcome to the forum.

Watch out for that Doc - he'll find a way to get the beer off you!

He's very reasonable though, 4 pints of Guinness an hour

Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level then beat you with experience.

     Big Bill,

You are very welcome and you can donate to my Guinness fund if you like.

    Strummy,

It works out to 1 pint of  Guinness for an answer. 2 pints of Guinness for an answer that requires thought. 4 pints of Guinness for the correct answer. But of course this only applies to you, mate. Everyone else can donate as they like.

Sorry to dissapoint. But I'll not be running around as Bill Hollingsworth. I got me own problems with me given name as it is, mate. Don't need to be even more confused you know.
