Don't know which motown tune,  but nice even in my ignorance.  Too me it sounded a little more like Portishead than motown (sans vox).

Really nice playing, great ep.  I kept waiting for it to break out a little more, but that is just me.

Wonderful song, really.  The EP sticks out but all the backing tracks are beautiful, and beautifully done.

I don't recognize the Motown tune either (and I'm from Motown...sorta), but I do recognize a fantastic piece when I hear it.  This is really nice - just a smokey, groovy ride that really flows nicely.  Yeah, the EP really stands out, but the whole soundscape is very mellow with lots of subtle and intricate parts going on behind the scene, yet it all blends together so perfectly.  Easily one of my favorites from you!  Going back for another listen...

it's not Holland Dozier and Holland
but has the same sort of key wandering that Motown was so good at

Really enjoyed this track Wrench.  Really nice ambient feel.  Top notch production as normal.

My only suggestion would be some sort of break in middle....

    Bestest, Paul
