Studio Instruments Question

Forgive me if this is some sort of basic newbie question:

I have several SI Drum tracks in a project.  Basically I made one "master drum track" and then copied each individual instrument (kick, snare, etc) to a separate SI Track.  When I played the original track I had no issues, but one of the cloned tracks (a snare) sends the levels to peak immediately when the fader is brought up from -INF.  It exhibits this behavior both in thawed and frozen modes.

What is causing this and how can I fix it?  Thanks in advance.

An update - I did not determine the cause of the issue, but i was able to delete the track and re-copy the pertinent data and the problem went away.  I can only assume that it was some sort of data corruption on the original copy.

    Dave,

It could have been something as simple as velocity values in the midi data having been erroneously written to maximum (127). I didn't reply as I don't have or use the suite.

Strange that it might have occurred. But then again it's all ones and zeros.
