Virtual Guitar Question

I have Amplitube up and running but when I play I hear Amplitubes processed part with the dry signal at the same time. Is there a way that I can only hear the processed signal while tracking? Trying to record heavy parts while also hearing the dry signal is a buzz kill.

Thanks!

Turn off Input Echo in the audio track that your guitar comes in on.

Input echo wont work, cause then you will only hear the clean sound. you should have input echo on and then you should only hear the processed signal thru amplitude. That's the way it works for me when i use amplitude. We also have the same sound card, so im guessing you must have some sort of monitor config error somewhere in cue mix.
Also, i hope you inserted amplitude in the track effects bin and not routing it to a bus. This will cause you to hear both clean and processed also. So it could be the one of the 2 things i just mentioned..

CJ, I have the same issue with Guitar Rig and I think you gave me advice once on this that there was a setting in Sonar preferences that solved the problem. Does that ring a bell?

Not at the moment, John. Ill wait for Jerjabs to answer back, because it may be something like he's using a bus or has his cue mix configed wrong. But ill keep trying to remember if there is something like that, but right now i cannot think of it

    Hi CJ,
I have used several home recorders in the past....from old Fostex 4-track cassette to Korg 12-track digital....I am very new at computer recording software. I am having this same issue.
I just purchased Cakewalk Music Creator 5 along with AmpliTube X-Gear. I just received the audio interface UA-1G along with Sonar 6 LE. I get both the processed sound and the dry sound. I uninstalled everything and reinstalled and I am still having the same problem. It's very depressing to have a cool sound and yet hear the dry (clean) sound with it. I have looked online and exhausted all my ideas with the programs....I'm running out of ideas.

    Please Help & thanks,
    Chris

After many online attempts for help with this problem, I finally called Cakewalk. The tech was very helpful. My 4th dip switch (monitor) located on the back of my UA-1G needed to be switched up. This solved my problem of hearing the dual signal. I hope this helps out anyone that has the same problem.

Its a common signal loop and its a common isssue with your kind of sound card, but not his soundc ard. Motu's have cue mix. Your edirol doesnt. That is why you have a monitor switch on your card .Ther cue mix in motu is very complex and its great for routing
