Metronome Count-in

Can Sonar 8.5 be setup to count-in on a certain about of measures and shut off, in lieu of ticking continuously. It becomes hard to listen to the ticking while your performing.

    Sure you can.

Go to - Views, on the menu, click on #4 for the metronome toolbar and close that, then look on your toolbar for the metronome buttons and highlight them to identify and when you locate "Metronome Settings" (probably on the far right) click it and a window will open so you can set parameters to your needs.

If you don't want the toolbar go Options>project and set it.

you can also go to the metronome bus at the bottom of the window and add a volume envelope to the track and automate the volume of the metronome to come and go as you please.  this is what i do because sometimes i need it later in the song.

I never used the metronome. I set up a midi track and TTS to play the drums....(see my web site for details) this sounds better too.

Now days I simply pop in Jamstix and let it play.
