no audio in p5 in new x64 setup [SOLVED]

it seems like i'm on the tail end of a major switch from 32 bit to x64 (now 3 months of tweaking, you can say "idiot" in a Get Smart russian accent at me).  FINALLY, my Sonar 8.51 is working with all my plugins, my native x64 ones, my Novation Automap versions of the x64, the ones that work with BitBridge, and the ones that work with jBridge, and the Automapped versions of those.  it is a very convoluted, tricky, and luck (both good and bad) -ridden process, so i am feeling pretty good about Sonar 8.51 x64 PE.  so tonight i install p5 (starting at 2.0 and making my progressions to 2.51).

i do not get any sound.
Sonar x64 gets sound.
FL9 gets sound. (big weird symptom, being that it is also a 32 bit program)
in p5, the meters move and the progress bar moves, but no sound.

i have Vista Home Premium x64, Sonar 8.51 x64 PE, FL9 PE
Tascam us-122L (only the x64 drivers will install on this system)

i know there's gotta be some x64 people out there, because i've read about you;]
